The concept of ‘seeking’, ‘finding’ and then ‘reigning’ is here introduced as a theme to the Gospel, and as the purpose of human life. Among the many references one may immediately consider the Hymn of the Pearl so central in our Liturgy, the parable of the prodigal Son, the Lost Sheep and others.
