Wisdom is a ‘mirror of the active force of God’.  This description of the difference between Yin and Yang is here introduced to Greek literature, probably for the first time.  God is Light, and Wisdom is a reflection of that Light B this theology was alluded to in Hebrew Scripture but only in this era, at around the time of Yesu, does this theology become concrete in high philosophy and mysticism. Henceforth the ‘theology of Light’ will play an important part in religions and in mysticism. 1 John 1:5 is the first western Christian literary example of this.

Another remarkable aspect of the previous piece and that which immediately follows lies in the unique pneumatology (study of spirit) which is being born.  This ‘theology of the Spirit’ will be extensively used by western gospel writers and theologians but for some reason (perhaps the same reason why this inspired book did not gain the West’s canonical status) the Feminine aspect of God is downplayed in the West.  In the Christian East this theology of the Spirit features brightly and remains a major influence which permeates all the Scriptures.  The Feminine aspect of God, Mother, is invoked at initiations and at other times, and is a frequent visitor in the eastern Christian writings, liturgies, devotions and prayers.
