‘Uprightness’ must be understood in terms of the body of Gk. literature which lies behind this book. Psalm 45:7 and 1 Ch 29:17 confirm that uprightness means to be in perfect accord with the will of God, not only in heart but in mind and action.  This ‘uprightness’ is the Buddha’s call by the Four Noble Truths, and the same principle is echoed by Yesu on various occasions.
